Director's Monthly Update on Our New Expansion

Phase III is slightly ahead of pace. The main parking lot should be complete by the end of July, paving ( no pun intended) the way for Jeep Week, Bikefest and Endless Summer Cruisin’. The Sunset Room is officially gone with its demise the first week of this month. The northern end of the bayside boardwalk is gone, construction of the bayside gallery is underway. The new meeting rooms on the bay are well underway as are the new restrooms only a few doors down. The cooling tower has been disassembled and the new one is now on the roof. The north loading dock has been totally re-designed and we look for completion this Fall. While all of this was going on, we hosted STARPOWER and VOLLEYBALL during all of the above, our first groups back since mid-March. We are also getting excited to bring our valued, loyal clients and potential new clients an expanding Roland E. Powell Convention Center!  Until next time, we’ll keep you posted!
